Gay and Lesbian IAs

Any other LGBT IAs interested in getting together, discussing IA, and exploring Montreal? It would be fun to get together for dinner or going out afterwards during the summit.

Post here and I would be willing to coordinate it.

Hey Eddie, thanks for jumping online and doing this. Of course I was checking to see if anyone was planning to hook up. I've been to Montreal many many times in the last several years and I'm very much looking forward to meeting new folks in this fantastic venue.

I'm also interested. How 'bout Friday night during/after the opening reception?

I'm actually arriving Friday noon-ish, so if anyone wants to explore the surrounds during the afternoon, let me know.

This is just my 2nd Summit. I am supposed to meet two other groups on Friday and Saturday evenings but would like to meet others maybe on Sunday.

This is my second trip to Montreal.

I just stumbled upon this restaurant review of a funky restaurant in the "Village."

http://www.montrealfood.com/restos/rduvillage.html

It sounds like the food is good and the ambiance is generated by the people and not the decore. Probably good for people watching This should be close via Metro.

Has anyone ever been to this restaurant? I don't remember it when we were there summer 2003. Might not have appealed to me at the time. There were several others in the Village I liked but just remeber that two of them were on St. Catherine.

A cheap, good semi-self service restaurant (you order at the casier) and they call your number or bring it to you (don't remember) is at the Corner of Boulevard de Maisonneuve and Rue St. Christophe. Maisonneuve is parallel to St. Catherine and the Bari-UQAM Metro has an entrance at this corner. It's only mediocre for people watching. The food and wine are good, especially for the low price.
