Fairmont at $169 CAD/night

Just thought I would let you know that when reserving the room online using the conference's promotional code they now offer the rooms at $199CAD/night. When I called the hotel they were able to offer the room at $169CAD/night instead.

I'd like to just confirm that people should call the Hotel to get the right rates and be aware there are 2 room classes. There is a deluxe room and a super deluxe (not official titles). The primary difference is around size of bed/room and whether or not there is Internet in the room (high speed). The internet is not free in the room ($10/night I think), but at least its an option.

There is WiFi in the lobby and on the conference floor, but not in the rooms automatically.

I already booked it for $199.00 - do you know if they would revert that? or should I cancel and book again?

Hi Livia,
I called the hotel. The main difference besides an internet connection is that the less expensive rooms have not been renovated. I asked the receptionist for her frank opinion on the difference between the rooms and she said the besides a newer decor - many customers have said that they prefer the quality of the newer beds. If you call the hotel, they will switch you to the other price if there still are rooms available. (There was when I called).
