Higher Ed BOF

Is anyone interested in a Higher Ed "Birds of a Feather" discussion group and/or dinner? I would be interested in connecting with folks to discuss topics such as:

1. Online Learning - how does this growing teaching and learning medium inform and/or effect our work as IAs?

2. University-wide content management, inter-departmental content cross publishing, inter-departmental IA (ideas about how to reach a consistent UI/IA among academic departments to promote greater end-user ease of use)

3. Communicating/Selling the value of an online information culture to academic decision makers in higher ed who are still very comfortable with paper-based publishing -- effecting a paradigm shift in thought and business process

If you want to use the "swing" room to hold your BOF, just use the sign-up sheet and schedule a slot. The sign-up sheet will be in the registration area (up on Mezzanine level, I believe).

Hi All: It looks like a number of people are interested in connecting to discuss Higher Ed topics. How about meeting Sunday evening at 6:30pm for a Higher Ed BOF dinner? We can meet in the lobby - (I suggest the sitting area right in front of the check-in desk) and we can decide as a group a destination for dinner. I look forward to meeting you all! Thanks - Mary
