Call for papers - Panels

Panel sessions are 60 minutes in length and typically involve 3-5 panelists and a moderator. Panels should be planned well in advance and strongly moderated - please do not expect to 'just show up' and have a successful panel - it doesn't happen. Panels work best with panelists who have either differing viewpoints or beliefs, rather than all agreeing with one another.

Panels can address core IA principles, emerging trends and technologies, the management of IA or UX teams, or the business of IA. We are also interested in cross-disciplinary contributions to the practice of IA from related fields such as library science, user experience, interaction design, and user centered design.

Your panel submission should include the following:

  • Moderator and panelist names
  • Professional bios of the panelists and moderator (under 100 words)
  • Contact information
  • Panel title
  • Panel description (3 paragraphs, maximum)

How and when to submit

  • The call for papers closed on November 6th.

Registration - New for 2008: One complimentary conference registration will be given to each panel accepted (normally to the moderator who submits the proposal) - details will be distributed with acceptance notifications in January 2008. Panelists may register for the summit itself at the reduced "additional presenter" rate.
