Christopher Fahey
Chris is a founding partner at Behavior LLC, an award-winning New York web design consultancy. He also blogs about design, technology, and culture at his personal site graphpaper.com. His user experience design sensibility combines the high usability standards of business-critical web applications, the branding and creative concerns of interactive marketing, and the experimental approach of conceptual art and computer game design.
At Behavior, Chris serves as the company's information architecture practice lead. In addition to defining methodologies and processes for the firm's IA practice, Chris's client work includes HBO.com, The Smithsonian Institution, Mc-Graw-Hill, JP Morgan Chase, UBS, ResortQuest International, Plum TV, AARP, and The Onion.
He previously worked at Rare Medium as the New York director of information architecture, and before that as a game designer and producer at two pioneer interactive media studios, Music Pen and Wanderlust Interactive, creating several award winning CD-ROM games and web sites.
Chris has spoken at the 2003 ASIS&T IA Summit and the 2007 SXSW Interactive conference, and has taught interaction design at Brooklyn College, FIT, and the City College of New York. He graduated from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art with a focus on interactive sculptures and installations, and he studied at the Gerritt Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
