IA Summit 2018 Main Conference TalkTopic(s): collaboration, cross/omni channel, information architecture, product design, research, strategy, techniques, usability, and UX
As organizations, teams, and efforts grow, it is not uncommon for working groups to branch off into smaller teams to focus on unique challenges. And as an unfortunate result, processes and work can start to fragment. When this happens, or to prevent it, how can we share knowledge, maintain consistency, and ensure a beautiful experience for our customers?
This talk will cover 3 areas of focus and their distinct deliverables, that teams can use to help support the carrying out of a unified vision while still working autonomously .
- Mapping our customers’ needs, tasks, and mental models to our touch points.
- Creating a framework for how we measure and ensure quality design.
- Establishing a design language system across multiple products and teams.
