IA Summit 2018 Main Conference TalkTopic(s): artificial intelligence, emerging tech, linguistics, metadata, and UX
As voice command interfaces become more accurate and useful, how does IA play a role in the further development of the invisible interface? As many experts have pointed out, using “earcons” rather than the visual icons has may advantages, but just as many drawbacks when using a voice command interface.
How does IA benefit from improved artificial intelligence? How do UX and IA designers rethink the user functionality and cognitive load in an era of the invisible interface? The answer may come from the worlds of linguistics and metadata.
This presentation will present current knowledge and propose initial solutions for IA in the new age of the voice command interface, including some real world examples of replacing a visual interface with a voice interface and some steps to take when considering the design of a voice command interface.
