IA Summit 2018 Main Conference TalkTopic(s): case studies, information architecture, metadata, ontology, taxonomy, and techniques
Information Architecture involves arranging information and content. This presentation discusses the approach we took at a media company to use five guiding questions and five types of metadata to set up an internal metadata standard.
We will share how we adopted an international standard for the needs of the organization. Part of our approach included sharing a glossary of terms used in the organization which set the stage for transparency and disambiguating terms. Better management of the metadata helps us create better interoperability, and arrange information and content.
